"Ardem" Survival Game - Electric Car Charging Station Concept Process

The concept art progress that I went through for my concept of a futuristic car charging station.
„Ardem“ is a 3D Survival Game that takes places around 50 years in the future. The game is not out yet, but I received the permission to post my work in my portfolio. I worked on the project for 6 months as a 2D intern at Techtive Games.

The games has a low poly 3D art style, so I decided to start off by constructing the object with some simple forms. I picked the 5 shapes I liked the most.

I color coded my different parts needed for the object - charging cable - screen/ charging screen - brand name/logo and the detailing.

After showing all of the designs to the project owner, we decided on three of them, which I then worked on further.

After the final design was decided, I tried out different color variations which I thought might fit the object.

In the end the final color, was decided to stay same as used for the color coding.

We decided to add a handscanner for identification onto the station so I tried out some different variations for that as well.
